NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Northborough residents who tune into the Food Network tonight will see a familiar sight. Sea Dog Steak & Ale, the restaurant that occupied 318 Main St. before closing in December, will appear on an episode of "Chef Wanted" with Anne Burrell.
According to the Food Network website, the episode, titled "The Gastro Pub," pits four candidates against each other in a competition to become executive chef. The candidates must cook a dish for a beer pairing and use live lobster in a "gastro pub" dish.
The episode was shot back in September, before Sea Dog closed. So far, there has been no news about the future of the restaurant. In December, operations manager Mike Minichello told the Board of Selectmen that the Maine-based company that owns Sea Dog would take a few months to evaluate its options.
