NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Here's a quick look at what's going on in Northborough and the surrounding area this week.

Monday, Jan. 28

Board of Selectmen: 7 p.m. The Board of Selectmen will hold its regular meeting at Northborough Town Hall.

Girls Varsity Ice Hockey: 7:20 p.m. Algonquin will face Cambridge at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough.

Tuesday, Jan. 29

Preschool Story Time: 10 a.m. Children ages 3 to 5 are welcome to attend story time at the Northborough Library.

Boys Varsity Basketball: 5:30 p.m. Algonquin will face Shrewsbury at Shrewsbury High School.

Varsity Gymnastics: 6 p.m. Algonquin will face Medfield at home.

Girls Varsity Basketball: 7 p.m. Algonquin will face Shrewsbury at Shrewsbury High School.

NSPAC "Finding The Right Fit For College": 7 p.m. The Northborough/Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council will host an information night for college-bound students seeking the right fit. The presentation will be held at the Algonquin Regional High School library.

Wednesday, Jan. 30

Varsity Swimming Invitational: 5 p.m. Algonquin will compete in the Mid-Wach League Invitational Dive Challenge at Greater Lowell Tech.

Kid Karaoke: 5:30 p.m. Kids can sing their favorite songs at JJ's Sports Bar & Grille. Children under 12 eat free with the purchase of an entree.

Boys Varsity Ice Hockey: 6 p.m. Algonquin will face Marlborough at the North Star Youth Forum in Westborough.

Varsity Wrestling: 6:30 p.m. Algonquin will face Marlborough at home.

Thursday, Jan. 31

St. Bernadette's Open House: 10 a.m. Visit St. Bernadette School for a tour and application information. For more information, visit the school's website.

Dan & Sarah: 8:30 p.m. Dan Kirouac and Sarah Gengel will perform at the Texas BBQ Company, 309 Main St.
