Girl Scouts Cookies: Northborough Girl Scouts have begun selling cookies throughout town. Cookies cost $4 per box. For locations, contact Maria Boeckeler at mariaboeckeler@gmail.com.

Schedule: Preschool Screening: Friday is the last day to schedule a preschool screening appointment for children who will be 3 years old by June 15, 2013. The screening will take place at the Zeh School on Feb. 1. Contact Deb Young at 508-393-4378 for an appointment.

Boys Varsity Basketball: 7 p.m. Algonquin faces Wachusett Regional at home.

Girls Varsity Basketball: 7 p.m. Algonquin faces Wachusett Regional at Wachusett Regional High School.

Saturday, Jan. 19

Varsity Wrestling Quad: 10 a.m. Algonquin faces Lincoln-Sudbury Regional, Natick and Waltham at home.

Varsity Gymnastics: 1 p.m. Algonquin faces Wachusett Regional at home.

MMEA Central District Concert: 4 p.m. Algonquin students will perform at the MMEA Central District concert at Worcester's Mechanics Hall.

Boys Varsity Ice Hockey: 8:30 p.m. Algonquin faces Groton-Dunstable at the North Star Youth Forum in Westborough.

Sunday, Jan. 20

Girls Varsity Ice Hockey: 10:30 a.m. Algonquin faces Marblehead at Marblehead High School.

Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra: 3 p.m. Two Northborough students, Yan Ling and Alexander Mayhew, perform with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra at the Sanders Theater at Harvard University. The performance begins at 3 p.m.
