NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — "You know what work is—if you're old enough to read this you know what work is, although you may not do it." So spoke sophomore Danielle Robbins, reciting Philip Levine's poem, "What Work Is," at the final round of Algonquin's "Poetry Out Loud" competition, which she won on Thursday.
