NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — As the holiday season approaches, the Northborough Fire Department will again participate in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's Toys For Tots program.

"We expect there will be a great need this year for toys," said Capt. Robert Theve of the Northborough Fire Department. The program collected more than 600 toys in Northborough last year, Theve told selectmen Monday night.

The Fire Department, located at 11 Pierce St., will serve as a drop-off point, as will the Northborough Town Hall at 63 Main St. and the Northborough Free Library at 34 Main St., Theve said. The drive will continue through Dec. 18.

New toys should be non-violent, unwrapped and in the original packaging for children ages 1 to 16.

For additional information, contact Theve at 508-393-1537.
