NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — While Toys For Tots may be among the best well-known holiday toys drives, it is not the only program seeking help from Northborough residents this season.

The Northborough Recreation Department has put out a call for toy donations for its Holiday Sale on Saturday, Dec. 1. The sale will allow those who are facing financial difficulties to purchase new and used toys and games at reasonable prices.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Northborough Recreation.

Donations should be new or gently used and in working condition. Northborough Recreation recommends bicycles, dolls, sporting equipment, book, computer games, and other toys and games for children ages 2 and up. The department will not accept stuffed animals, booster seats, clothing or infant toys.

Donations can be dropped off at the Northborough Recreation Department, located in the basement of Northborough Town Hall, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
