NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Local music lovers are in luck: The Northborough Community Affairs Committee is once again sponsoring its Summer Concert Series.
Here's a look at the shows scheduled for July:
• Third Man Factor (3MF) will play Thursday, July 12. This group combines the styles of classic rock groups such The Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers Band with those of more modern ones, such as the Dave Matthews Band.
• Abandon Jack will play Thursday, July 26. This group, fronted by Jack Shanahan, owner of Jack's Guitar Garage on 243 W. Main St., Northborough, plays a range of styles from blues to rock to pop.
In addition to the Community Affairs Committee, other sponsors of the series are the Marlborough Savings Bank, Brendon Properties and Lexus of Northborough. In addition, the series is supported in part by a grant from the Northborough Cultural Council.
All Summer Concert Series shows are free and run from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ellsworth-McAfee Park. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic supper, chairs and blankets.
