NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Attention Northborough voters: This year's Annual Town Meeting will be held at the Algonquin Regional High School auditorium on Monday, April 23. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. A quorum of 100 voters is required before business can be conducted.

There are 52 articles on the warrant this year, including five citizen petitions. Copies of the warrant and the proposed FY 2013 budget can be found on the town's website. Most of these articles will require a simple majority of votes for passage. Articles that amend zoning bylaws or authorize borrowing, however, will require a two-thirds vote for approval.

The meeting is scheduled to end at 11 p.m. According to the town bylaws, if business has not been finished by that time, the meeting will adjorn (once the article currently under discussion is completed) and will resume the next day. Additional meeting times are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., if necessary.

A two-thirds vote may also extend the meeting beyond the normal adjornment time, if voters choose.
