NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Northborough has been given a $3,870 state grant to support "cultural activities that enrich the community," state Sen. Harriette Chandler announced last week.
The grant to the Northborough Cultural Council is part of $8 million in awards given by the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) to cultural councils and organizations across the state.
"Congratulations to the Northborough Cultural Council on receiving this grant," Chandler said. "These grants support various cultural activities that enrich the community, benefit local residents and provide greater access for the residents of Northborough to wonderful programs."
The MCC is funded by the state and through grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, Bank of America and others organizations. It supports the arts, humanities and sciences through grants, services and advocacy for organizations, schools, communities and artists.
