NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. - Martha (Boghosian) Bedigian Garabedian, 85, died peacefully May 30 with her sons at her side. Her husband, Charles G. Garabedian, died in 1973.
Her first husband, Evans Bedigian, died in 1960. She is survived by two sons, Evans P. Bedigian, and his wife, Mary Kay, of Northborough, and James D. Bedigian, of Whitinsville; her mother, Almas (Avakian) Boghosian, of Whitinsville; a sister, Margaret Montecalvo, and her husband, Joe, of Whitinsville; and granddaughters, Karen and Katie. Her brother, Harry Boghosian, and father predeceased her.
Mrs. Garabedian was born in Whitinsville on April 8, 1927, a daughter of the late Archie Boghosian, and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Northbridge High School in 1944, and from Hill College, in Woonsocket, RI in 1945.
Mrs. Garabedian was treasurer and executive secretary to the president of Unibank and also worked in the office of the former Whitin Machine Works.
Mrs. Garabedian was a former trustee and member of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Whitinsville, and the Ladies' Guild of the church. She was a former member of the Whitinsville Women's Club and was a Rebekah.
Calling hours will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday, June 2 at the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill St., Whitinsville, followed by church services at 11:30 a.m. in the Armenian Apostolic Church, Whitinsville. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
