NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Town Administrator John Coderre has announced the appointment of Daniel Nason of Holden as Northborough's new Director of Public Works. Nason's first day will be on March 19.

For the past two years, Nason has served as Public Works Superintendent for Ayer. Before that, he served as the Senior Engineer for Holden.

Nason has private sector experience as well, having worked as a National Engineering Manager with Imbrium Systems Corporation, where he oversaw storm water quality and water pollution prevention. He has also held other civil engineering positions for private firms working on municipal public works projects.

Nason earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Northborough has been without a Director of Public Works since former Director Kara Buzanowski left to take a similar position in Nantucket this past fall.
