NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — What does 2013 have in store for the town? The following are some of the topics that will come up in Northborough this year:

Main Street Construction: Will it finally end? Work is expected to continue this winter on poles that need to be removed to allow traffic lanes to be at their full width. Hopefully, Northborough drivers will have a new and improved Main Street to traverse in 2013.

New Restaurants: Since Northborough Crossing opened last year, many residents have wondered when more restaurants will arrive. The upcoming opening of a Qdoba Mexican Grill could signal the beginning of a new influx of eateries.

The Future Of Sea Dog Steak & Ale: After abruptly closing the restaurant in early December, owners of Sea Dog Steak & Ale announced that they expect to rebrand and hopefully reopen within a couple of months. Many specifics, however, remain unknown.

Indoor Trampoline Park On The Way: Following approval by the Zoning Board of Appeals, it appears Sky Zone Sports will open an indoor trampoline park in Northborough in 2013. Parents, look forward to a place where your kids can burn off all their excess energy. Good luck getting them to go home, though.

Trial Of S.A. Farm Owner Santo Anza Jr.: The Northborough Daily Voice has covered Day 1 and Day 2 of Anza's trial in Worcester Superior Court. Proceedings are ongoing, but expect a verdict in early 2013.

U.S. Senate Special Election Campaign: With U.S. Sen. John Kerry joining the Obama administration, Massachusetts will have another special election in 2013. Scott Brown, who may be looking to win another special election, visited Northborough in 2012, so look out for him in town.
