NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Wind speeds from Hurricane Sandy are expected to reach their peak of 36 mph at 5 p.m. Monday in Northborough, according to the National Weather Service. Wind gusts are estimated to reach as high as 60 mph.
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for Southern New England in expectation of damaging winds and power outages. The warning will remain in effect until 6 a.m. Tuesday, at which point wind speeds are expected to have subsided.
