NAPLES, FL - Elizabeth L. (Hammonds) Reynolds, 79, died on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 after a short illness in Northborough, MA surrounded by her loving family.
She leaves her devoted husband of 41 years, Robert G. Reynolds; two sons, Douglas Newell of Evansville, IN, and Robert G. Reynolds, Jr. of Northborough; four daughters, Lorraine Hair of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, Kathy Rinaldi of Pine Beach, NJ, Christine Griffiths of Bristow, VA, Elaine McCullough of Southaven, Miss.; one sister, Jean Didden of Homasassa, FL; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth was born in Lakewood, NJ and raised in Toms River; she was the daughter of the late William and Ethel (Everett) Hammonds. She owned and operated the Lamp Post Inn, Pine Beach, NJ with her husband from 1969 to 1983. Elizabeth and Robert retired to Naples, FL in 1987. Mrs. Reynolds enjoyed fishing and golfing and spending time with her family.
A memorial Mass will be held for Elizabeth on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 685 Hooper Avenue, Toms River. Burial is private.
