NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — The Daily Voice accepts signed, original letters to the editor. Letters may be emailed to bmatthew@dailyvoice.com.

To the editor,

The Northborough Food Pantry would like to thank all those who helped make the Scouting for Food drive a success this year. Every year the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Venture Scouts work together with their adult leaders to organize this drive for the pantry. They drop off bags to every house in Northborough, and pick them up the following Saturday. They bring the stuffed bags to the Town Hall where together they unpack the bags, organize the food, stock the pantry and clean up. This year we had a record amount of food collected, thanks to the generosity of the Northborough community. The scouts collected more than 6,000 pounds of food, totaling over 14,000
items. The shelves in the pantry are stocked high with pasta, rice, soup, peanut butter, etc. This food will go a long way in providing hunger relief to our neighbors in need.

Food donations are accepted year-round and may be left at the Food Pantry on the bottom floor of the Northborough Town Hall. Monetary donations may be mailed to the attention of the Northborough Food Pantry at 63 Main St. in Northborough. More information about the Northborough Food Pantry can be found on our website at www.nfpantry.org or by visiting us on
Facebook.

The Northborough Food Pantry is staffed and run solely by volunteers allowing us to apply 100 percent of donations directly to serving our families. The clients and volunteers of the Northborough Food Pantry extend a heartfelt thanks to you for your support.

Gratefully,

The Northborough Food Pantry Board Members
