SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. — The Daily Voice accepts signed, original letters to the editor. Letters may be emailed to email@example.com.
To the editor,
I want to thank the voters of the Middlesex and Worcester District for their strong support of my re-election as your State Senator. I am deeply honored to have won each of the 14 communities that I represent, including Northborough, Westborough and Southborough. I also want to congratulate Dean Cavaretta for running for the office as well. It takes courage to run for public office, and our one-year campaign for State Senate was civil and policy-focused, with plenty of opportunities, including seven debates, for voters to see where each of us stood on the issues.
I am extremely proud to have run a strong grassroots campaign, and want to express my deep gratitude to my superb campaign staff, and the hundreds of volunteers who knocked on doors, made phone calls, and reached out to family, friends and neighbors to talk about my work as State Senator.
With the election now over, I continue to attend community events throughout the district, and have begun preparing legislation for the next legislative session. With that in mind, I plan to hold Town Hall meetings in the district in order to receive feedback from constituents on legislation.
Once again, thanks for your support!
