UPDATE: Driver Thrown From Car In Westborough Crash Identified

Westborough Police responded to a serious, rollover car accident at 3:57 a.m. Sunday morning.

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — Police have identified the driver from the Aug. 26 crash on Rt. 9 at Bellows Rd. as Loka Nabil Wahba, 21, of 1640 Worcester Rd. in Framingham.

Wahba remains at UMass Medical. His identity was withheld until his parents arrived from Egypt.

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. —A motorist was found on the ground with life threatening injuries after his car went off Route 9 early Sunday morning and flipped over several times, according to a Westborough Police Department press release. 

Officers responding to the scene at Route 9 and Bellows Road reported finding a 2007 Nissan with extensive damage and the driver outside the vehicle. The operator's identity will be withheld until his parents arrive from Egypt. He was described as a 21-year-old from Framingham. 

The driver was reported to have been treated for "serious life-threatening injuries" and transported to UMass Medical. 

Police said the driver was not wearing a seat belt. The accident remains under investigation by Officer Cliff Luce.
