Cavaretta To Serve On Education Panel If Elected

Dean Cavaretta

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — State Senate Minority Leader Bruce Tarr (R-Gloucester) announced Monday that candidate Dean Cavaretta (R-Stow) will be appointed to the Senate's Joint Committee on Education if elected.

Cavaretta is running against incumbent Jamie Eldridge (D-Acton) to represent the Worcester and Middlesex districts, including Westborough, Northborough and Southborough.

"He’s already shown leadership on educational issues by developing an extensive 10-point plan to make our schools stronger," Tarr said in a news release.

The committee has jurisdiction over all state education matters up through 12th grade.

"I look forward if elected to use my practical and real world experience to benefit our kids in schools," Cavaretta said.
