NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — The Algonquin Boosters Club is seeking interested parents in Northborough and Southborough to help with the fundraising and planning of a project to upgrade the track and field at Algonquin Regional High School.

Following a recent decision by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA), only schools with turf fields will be allowed to host postseason competitions. Citing this decision, as well as the need for general repairs on the track, the Boosters are seeking to install a turf field.

A meeting for interested volunteers will be held at Algonquin (Room B120) on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m.

Consulting firm Gale Associates, Inc. will prepare an independent field evaluation and master plan for the project. In addition, a representative from Gale Associates will guide the volunteers throughout the project.

Those who are interested in helping or have questions, may contact Laurie Bourdon at lbourdon345@gmail.com.
