WORCESTER, Mass. — The Greater Worcester Community Foundation is now accepting applications for assistance from low-income families whose children play hockey.
District 7 Youth Hockey has financial assistance to defray the costs of youth hockey participation. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Sept. 17 and may be obtained from any District 7 Youth Hockey Association or on the Foundation's website.
Scholarships range from $50 to $200. Approximately $1,200 will be available this year from the John Carter "High Five" Youth Hockey Fund and the Christopher J. Paskell Memorial Fund.
Each Youth Hockey Association with players applying for assistance must submit a 2012 Youth Hockey Association form to the foundation by Sept. 1.
