Lacrosse Players From Northborough, Southborough Win Bronze In Bay State Games

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Players from Northborough and Southborough helped the Central Region Boys Lacrosse team win bronze in the final day of the Bay State Games on July 15.

The Central team beat Metro, 5-3, in the bronze medal game. The players from Northborough were Paul Nardone, Alex Sabel, Sean Hamling, Sean Boullianne and Dylan Roody. The players from Southborough were Dan Logan and Nick Polutchko. Nardone and Sabel were top scorers for their team, each scoring two goals.

Organized by the Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation, the games are designed to provide "quality Olympic-style athletic competitions and developmental programs for Massachusetts amateur athletes of all ages and abilities," according to the Bay State Games website

Held since 1982, the summer Bay State Games feature more than 7,000 athletes in 26 sports.
