'Mindful Meditation' Classes Offered At Pound Ridge Library POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- The Pound Ridge Library is offering free "Mindful Meditation" classes on Tuesdays throughout November and much of December.The classes urge participants to take part in mindfulness meditation, which, according to the library, has been known to lower stress, improve mental and physical health and help people sleep better at night. Three Teens Arrested After Armed Robbery In Greenburgh GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Three teens have been arrested in connection with the knife-point robbery of a 20-year-old man at 55 West Hartsdale Ave., according to police.Jorge Culcay, 18, of 49 Fairmont St., Elmsford, Roberto Robles, 17, of 75 North Washington Ave., Hartsdale and a 15-year-old whom police did not name, are accused of committing the robbery about 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5.  According to police, the teens are acquainted with the 20-year-old victim. Islamic Center Purchases Norwalk Property For Mosque NORWALK, Conn. - The Al Madany Islamic Center of Norwalk has purchased the former Episcopal Church at 1 Union Park St. for $1.65 million, according to The Hour online.According to the report, the Islamic Center made the purchase after settling a lawsuit with the city in 2014 that alleged the city was discriminatory in denying the group the purchase of a center at 127 Fillow St. The report said that residents of the Union Park Street neighborhood and several politicians rallied against the Islamic Center, which plans to turn the building into a mosque.
