Man Runs Into PA Turnpike Traffic, Causes Injury Crash, Hides In Marsh: PSP
A man ran into traffic on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, caused a two-vehicle crash that injured both drivers, and then hid in a nearby marsh, state police told Daily Voice.
Andrew Chase Riehl, 24, of Ephrata, was running westbound through the eastbound lanes of Interstate 76 near mile marker 285.4 in East Cocalico Township around 9:27 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, according to Pennsylvania State Police Cpl. Richard Levan.
His actions caused two vehicles to crash, Levan said.
One driver suffered a broken leg, while the other sustained a broken finger, according to PSP.

Dog Killed, Several Displaced After Blaze Guts New City Home
An early-morning fire tore through a Rockland County home, displacing as many as 12 residents and killing a dog, according to reports.
The blaze broke out at 1 West Burda Place in New City on Saturday, Sept. 12, at around 4:19 a.m., according to the Hillcrest Fire Department.
Arriving firefighters found heavy flames and quickly launched an aggressive attack inside the home, the department said.

Power Outages Soar Past 100K After Severe Storms Slam Pennsylvania Again
More than 100,000 homes and businesses were without power across Pennsylvania on Friday, Sept. 4, after another round of severe storms brought destructive winds, torrential rain, flooding, and tornado warnings.

A naked man covered in feces and urine attacked Hackensack police officers after they found him inside the stairwell of a luxury apartment building, authorities said.
Officers responded to the building at 2:34 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, on a report of an unwanted man who did not live there, Hackensack Detective Capt. Darrin DeWitt said. Police found Demond A. Clacken, 29, of Hackensack, naked and covered in feces and urine inside a stairwell, according to DeWitt.
