A man identified only as John Doe was arrested after assaulting a person with a weapon in Warren County, officers announced Tuesday, July 7.
At 10:24 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, officers responded to an assault on the 100 block of West Washington Avenue and found a person who had been assaulted with an object, Washington Township police said. Police did not identify the object.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said. The suspect was located and apprehended following a foot pursuit, police said.

The fatal crashes happened in Alleghany, Appomattox, Brunswick, Fauquier, Frederick, Nottoway, Pulaski, Roanoke, Shenandoah, Smyth, Spotsylvania, and Suffolk counties, as well as the City of Danville.
