HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Nicholas J. Kronyak Sr., a resident of Hasbrouck Heights, died Wednesday, Feb. 10. He was 83.Kronyak was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Before retiring, he was an electrical foreman for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Local 3 in New York City.

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Carolyn Hochuli Wolfstirn, a resident of Ridgewood, died Tuesday, Feb.9. She was 60.Wolfstirn was a 1974 graduate of Ridgewood High School and graduated magna cum laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
She is survived by her mother, Audrey Walker Hochuli; sister, Joan Schuttler; her children, Michelle and her husband Matthew Wille, Jason and his wife Jacqueline Wolfstirn and Christopher Wolfstirn; and her grandchildren, Chase, Jacob and Madison Wille and Evan, Davin and Kane Wolfstirn.

WAYNE, N.J. -- Helen Halma, a resident of Wayne, died Wednesday, Feb.10. She was 92.Halma was a Sunday school teacher and Calvinette Counselor at her church and also a Bible teacher at the North Jersey Developmental Center for more then 20 years. She also volunteered at Wayne General Hospital and the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- William O. Jaycox, a resident of Poughkeepsie, died Monday, Feb.8. He was 72.Prior to his retirement, Jaycox worked as the postmaster at the Castle Point post office. He was a former member of the Hughsonville Presbyterian Church in Hughsonville and had been a lifetime member of the Hughsonville Fire Department.
He is survived by a friend of the family with whom he lived, David Kurtz, as well as several nieces and nephews.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Frederick Beyer Jr, a resident of Poughkeepsie, died Monday, Feb.8. He was 86.He was drafted to play baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals, but was enlisted on Nov. 20, 1950 into the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Italy. While there, he was able to travel and play baseball. A hardworking plumber and mechanical engineer for local 21 Plumber and Steamfitters, he was a man who believed in hard work.

GARNERVILLE, N.Y. -- Jan Willy Noothout, a resident of Garnerville, died Saturday, Feb.6. He was 80.Noothout served in the Dutch Army in the Netherlands. He immigrated to the United States serving as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Cold War with tours of duty in Fort Dix, N.J. and Germany.
