Woman's Screams Lead To Attempted Murder Charge For Christmas Strangler In NJ: Police A 33-year-old man was charged with trying to kill a 52-year-old woman in South Jersey on Christmas. Reports of a woman screaming brought police to N. Franklin and W. Arbor Avenue in Buena Borough just after midnight on Monday, Dec. 25, Franklin Township police said. Fentanyl Murder: Ex-Con Kills Woman In Virginia Over Drugs, Police Say An argument over fentanyl pills led to one woman's death in Virginia, and an ex-con is being sought. Parkway Police Shootout Kills Car Thief, Injures Cranford Officer In Woodbridge: AG (Update) A car thief was killed by a police officer in a pursuit on the Garden State Parkway Thursday, Dec. 28, state officials confirmed. Cara, who was 46 years old, had been battling a bacterial infection, according to her obituary on the Covenant Funeral Home website. Off-Duty Officer Carjacked In Prince George's: Police An off-duty police officer was carjacked Thursday evening, Dec. 28 in Prince George's County, authorities said. The officer was loading his family into his private vehicle when he was approached by the suspect, forcing him out of the car on the 6700 block of Oxon Hill Road, around 5:05 p.m., Prince George's County Police Department brass said. Missing Teen Prompts Concerns In South Jersey Police have released an updated photo of a 16-year-old girl missing for two weeks out of South Jersey.
