Long Branch Man Hospitalized After Red Bank Shooting: Prosecutor A 34-year-old Long Branch man was hospitalized with a gunshot wound following an overnight shooting in Red Bank, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Saturday, Dec. 7. Officers from the Red Bank Police Department responded to reports of gunfire on St. Mary’s Place, near Shrewsbury Avenue, at approximately 1:48 a.m., authorities said. Upon arrival, they discovered three shell casings at the scene. Shortly afterward, the man was admitted to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to his upper leg, according to the release. Teenage Bicyclist Seriously Injured In Brightwaters Crash: Police A teenage bicyclist was seriously injured in a motor vehicle crash in Brightwaters, Suffolk County police announced on Saturday, Dec. 7. The 14-year-old was riding westbound on Howells Road near Manatuck Boulevard when he attempted to cross the street and was struck by a westbound 2011 Honda CRV at 10:25 a.m., according to police. The vehicle, driven by 36-year-old Nube Cajamarca of Bay Shore, remained on the scene. Cajamarca was not injured, police said. 78-Year-Old Woman Killed In House Fire: PA State Police A 78-year-old woman was killed in a fire at her home in Unionville Borough, state police announced on Thursday, Dec. 5. Patricia A. Langham died in a residential fire at 360 Apple Street, Unionville Borough, Centre County, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Rockview. Trooper Ryan Monoski reported the fire began at approximately 12:26 p.m. on Thursday. Despite efforts to contain the blaze, Langham was pronounced dead at the scene. Woman Charged After Fight Spills Into Parking Lot At Forks Township Giant A woman accused of chasing another woman through the parking lot of a Giant store in Forks Township is facing multiple charges, police announced on Tuesday, Dec. 3. Forks Township police were called to the store at 301 Town Center Boulevard in Easton on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, around 3:24 p.m., for a reported disturbance involving two people fighting inside, authorities said. Haddonfield Wrestler-Turned-Coach Dies Suddenly At 32 Kristopher Rahn, 32, a dedicated wrestling coach and devoted family man originally from Haddonfield, New Jersey, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 3, leaving behind his wife, Loren, and their 3-month-old daughter, Mallory, family members said.
