Western Mass Road Closed After Head-On Collision; 1 Person Seriously Injured Officers in Greenfield have shut down Route 2 Bypass near Adams Road after a head-on collision Thursday afternoon, June 15. Drivers should avoid the area as police investigate the crash and clean up the scene. Authorities say it will remain shut down for several hours, which will cause delays for evening commuters. Police responded to the crash between two trucks around 2 p.m. The driver of one vehicle had to be cut from the cab and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Man Accused Of Stabbing Found Dead Near Western Mass Home Following Weeklong Manhunt Jeff Cote, the man police say stabbed his ex-girlfriend at her Berkshire County home last week before running away, was found dead near his home on Thursday, June 15, authorities said. One Dead, Another Injured After Motorcycles Crash In Ludlow A man was killed, and another was injured after two motorcycles crashed in Ludlow over the weekend. The wreck happened just after 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, in the 500 block of Miller Street, authorities announced on Wednesday. Police found one of the riders mortally wounded when they arrived. He Tried To Attack, Rob Elderly Man In Western Mass; Do You Know Him? Police in Hampden County are asking the public to help them identify a man they say attacked a 74-year-old man and tried to rob him earlier this week. The alleged attack happened around 8:30 a.m. Sunday, June 11, at 40 Springfield St. in Agawam, police said. Authorities did not say if the elderly man was injured in the incident.
