Only one company bid within the township's proposed budget of $300,000. Leonia High School Seniors Compete In 'Mr. Senior' LEONIA, N.J. -- Leonia High School seniors will compete in the 2016 Mr. Senior fundraiser on Thursday, March 3.Mr. Senior 2016 is a comical and entertaining spoof on Miss America. The event, sponsored by the LHS Home and School Association, is a fundraiser to support the Pre-Prom. This fun filled event will take place in the Little Theatre at 7 p.m. General Admission is $5.00 and votes cost $1 each. Leonia High School is located at 100 Christie Heights St.

Bergenfield Leaky Sewers 'Out Of Control' BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Water infiltrating pipes underneath the roads in Bergenfield is becoming a problem and is likely costing the borough money, according to NorthJersey.com. The borough paid the utilities authority $2,527,428 in 2014 for treatment services, an increase of $80,000 from 2013, NorthJersey.com said. The largest reason for the problem is an infrastructure that dates back to the 1920s that is cracking and struggles to keep up with demand brought forth by a larger population. Yanveh Academy Opens Gym For Paramus Recreation Department PARAMUS, N.J. -- Yavneh Academy in Paramus is allowing the borough to use its gymnasium on Saturdays, according to NorthJersey.com. School officials said the use of the gym is a "thank you" for helping the school co-exist in the community, NorthJersey.com reported. Westwood Students Chosen For Honors Regional Band, Choir WESTWOOD, N.J. -- Eight students from Westwood Schools were named to the North Jersey Region 1 Junior High Honors Choir and Band. All six of the district’s singers who auditioned were accepted to the choirs. Ereka Lin, Megan Karow, and Gabriella Dunay will be performing with the Treble Choir, while Nicole Losquadro, Vanessa Pecora, and Taylor Andresen will be performing with the Mixed Choir. New Milford Schools Invest In Automated Visitor Checking System NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- The New Milford School District has invested in an automated visitor check in system, which was be implemented in each of the school buildings in January.
