Haworth Starts Patriotic Pride Program HAWORTH, N.J. -- The Borough of Haworth will show its patriotic spirit through a flag donation program in the spring that will also honor local heroes. Residents can donate American flags to be flown throughout Haworth in the spring. A label with the name of a "hero" selected by the donor will be sewn onto the white heading of the flag with waterproof material.  There will be 60 flags hung up along Haworth Avenue and six more on various buildings.  A $25 donation is requested for a Haworth Avenue flag and $45 for a building.  To donate a flag or for more information contact Gina …

Paramus Rotary Clus Sponsors 4th Grade Students Spelling Bee PARAMUS, N.J. -- Varshaa Venkitesh from Ridge Ranch School took home first place in the Paramus Rotary Club fourth grade spelling bee on Wednesday, Jan. 20. The fourth grade participants at the Spelling Bee included students from each of the five Paramus Grammar Schools (Memorial – Midland – Parkway – Ridge Ranch - Stony Lane) as well as Visitation Academy, and Yeshivat Noam. The second place winner was Ian Park also from Ridge Ranch School. Third place went to Riddhi Lamba from Midland School.

Fair Lawn Students Excel On College & Career Preparedness Exams FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Fair Lawn students performed above the state average on the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers testing, according to NorthJersey.com. The test is administered to students in grades three through 11. In grades three through eight. Third graders showed the widest gap, scoring a 74 percent versus a state average of 45 percent, NorthJersey.com said.
