He was 59. Born in Sayerville, Cooney had been a resident of Elmwood Park for the past 36 years. He was the director of environmental services for the Preakness Health Care Center in Wayne for 26 years, retiring in 2013.  Conney is survived by his wife Catherine (Marturnano); children Alycia & Shannon; and brother of Rosemary Giuliano.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 14 at 6:00 p.m. at the Patrick J.
