Two Teens, One Man Charged In Fatal Jersey City Shooting: Prosecutor A 21-year-old Paterson resident and two teenagers were arrested and charged last week with a fatal shooting that occurred in Jersey City in May, authorities said. On Friday, May 10, around 10 p.m., Jersey City police responded to a report of shots fired at Pearsall Avenue and Garfield Avenue, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Police located Resheed Wallace, a 24-year-old Jersey City resident, with a gunshot wound to his upper body, Suarez said. Woman Robbed, Dragged Into Street: Newark PD A woman was robbed of her purse and dragged int the street in Newark on the morning of Sunday, July 14, authorities said. At 6:10 a.m., a woman was walking on Ferry Street near Union Street when she was approached by a Black man who snatched her purse, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. While in the process of removing her purse, the woman was dragged into the street by the suspect where she fell and was injured, Fragé said. Teenager Attempted Carjacking: Maplewood PD A teenager is at large after attempting a carjacking in Maplewood on Thursday, July 11. At 8:55 p.m., officers received a report of an attempted carjacking at a Springfield Avenue business, Maplewood police said in a release. One Firefighter Injured In Two-Alarm Linden Fire: Police One firefighter was injured in a two-alarm blaze at an apartment complex in Linden on the morning of Sunday, July 14, authorities said. Robbers Attempted To Break Into Vehicles, Steal Vespa: Hoboken PD Three people attempted to break into a garage and later steal a Vespa in Hoboken on Thursday, July 11, authorities said. At 9:40 p.m., three people were seen entering a garage on mini-motorcycles, attempting to open the doors of multiple vehicles, a spokeswoman for the Hoboken police said.
