Shock spread through Paterson following the news that a popular 62-year-old street vendor died on Tuesday May 7, two days after he was shot. Police responding to Broadway and East 24th Street just after 10:20 a.m. Sunday, May 5 found Daryle Robinson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. A suicidal man was hospitalized after responders said he deliberately walked into Route 46 traffic in Little Falls early Monday afternoon. The 33-year-old man, who they said spoke only Spanish, was struck near the Browertown Road exit -- apparently after some type of domestic incident -- shortly before 1 p.m. May 6.
