Authorities responded to a report of a crash in the area of West Avenue and Holmes Avenue in Darien at about 10:40 p.m. on Monday, June 27, according to the Darien Police Department. ID Released For Body Found In Candlewood Lake As Missing 20-Year-Old Officials have identified a body found in Candlewood Lake as a 20-year-old Fairfield County man who went missing while swimming last week. Denis Junio Rodrigues Pio, of Bridgeport, was identified as the man who went missing in the lake near Chicken Rock in Brookfield on the night of Friday, June 24, according to an announcement from the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection on Thursday, June 30. His body was recovered on Tuesday, June 28, officials said. The department said the case is being investigated as an accidental drowning.

Environmental Conservation Police Officer Dickson received a report about the injured bird in Argyle Lake in Babylon on Thursday, June 16, according to The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Dickson found the gosling swimming near the shore by a bridge and contacted Wildlife Rehabilitator Bobby Horvath to help with the rescue.
