The new bridge over the Taconic State Parkway is located at the Pudding Street Intersection in Putnam Valley, the State of New York reported. The state said the project "enhances access for communities to the east and west, increases sight distance and mobility for school buses, and improves access for emergency services." Man Accused Of Stealing Fairfield County Resident's ID To Open Accounts A 22-year-old man surrendered on a warrant in Fairfield County for allegedly stealing a person's identity to open up accounts for credit cards and cell phones. Man, Woman Nabbed For Burglarizing Suffolk County Home, Police Say Two people were arrested after police said they burglarized the Long Island home of an 88-year-old man. The man who lives in the home, located on Gibbs Pond Road in Nesconset, called his grandson shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 9 to report he heard someone in the house, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. Metro-North To Start Upgrading Parking Lots At Three Hudson Valley Stations Metro-North Railroad has announced a series of parking lot upgrades at three Hudson Valley stations. MTA said upgrades will be made at the stations in Putnam County -- in Cold Spring -- and Dutchess County -- in Beacon, and New Hamburg -- in August and September. MTA said temporary closures and parking restrictions will be necessary as work is underway to create better drainage and install new pavement and pavement markings. Robert Murdock, Town Employee In Hudson Valley For 30 Years, Dies At 57 Robert Murdock Jr., who worked as a town employee in the Hudson Valley for 30 years, has died at the age of 57. The lifelong Rockland County resident was born in Suffern and was a graduate of Ramapo Senior High School. According to his obituary, Murdock worked as an assistant general foreman for the Town of Ramapo Highway Department.
