Video Shows Nypd Helicopter Pilots Masterfully Tracking BMW Thief Who Fled NJ State Police The NYPD has shared a video of its aviation unit tracking a New Jersey car thief in Manhattan. Just after pilots finish explaining how technology inside of the helicopter assists police work, they're notified of a felony vehicle — a white BMW with New York plates on the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, on Monday, Feb. 26. They follow the vehicle from the air as it sits in traffic on the Belt Parkway. Fairfax Dad Andrew Stowe Dies Suddenly On Valentine's Day, 51 Support is surging for the loved ones of a Fairfax County dad who died unexpectedly on Valentine's Day. (John) Andrew Stowe was being remembered in his obituary as "indispensable" in his role as senior director of government compliance at ICF International. He was 51 years old. VA School Board Member Charged In Jan. 6 Capitol Riot 'Won't Be Bullied Off Board' A member of a Virginia school board charged in the Jan. 6, 2021 US Capitol riot tells Daily Voice he won't be resigning. Miles Adkins, who sits on the Frederick County School Board, was arrested Tuesday, Feb. 27, according to an FBI affidavit. "We don't allow bullies in the schools so I'm not going to be bullied off the board," said Adkins, who represents the Shawnee district. Burglars Who Stole 6 Handguns From Fairfax County Gun Store At Large Authorities in Fairfax County are seeking the two men who broke into a gun store and stole six handguns. The incident happened just before 2 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 29, at H&F Arms in Hybla Valley on Richmond Highway, county police said. Security footage captured two masked men break into the business through the front door. They took six handguns and two airsoft pistols before leaving, police said. Thousands Without Power In NJ Thousands of New Jersey residents were without power as of 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 29, following gusty winds that swept the region overnight. The JCP&L map shows the following areas were in the dark: Hunterdon County: 3,953 customers Morris County: 3,642 customers Warren County: 3,594 customers Restoration times were not immediately available. Thursday will be partly sunny with a high near 40 and wind chill values between 20 and 30, the National Weather Service said. Friday, March 1 will be sunny with a high of 47. Escaped Inmate Plunges Down 30-Foot Embankment In Philadelphia While Fleeing US Marshals The search for an inmate who escaped custody earlier this week in Philadelphia is heating up with new information, and a new reward being offered by the U.S. Marshals Service. Alleem Borden ran from officers on the 1300 block of North Allison Street in West Philly around 6:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, Philadelphia police said.
