David Halsey Young, 87, Of New Rochelle
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- David Halsey Young, a resident of New Rochelle, died Saturday, Jan. 23. He was 87.He was born in New Rochelle on Oct. 14, 1928, to Walter Halsey and Lola (Robinson) Young. He grew up in New Rochelle, and then received his bachelor's degree from Williams College in Massachusetts.
Upon graduating from college he began farming in Aquebogue, Long Island on a farm that had been in the Young family since the early 1650s. In the late 1950s he sold the farm on Long Island and purchased a farm in Gabriels, N.Y., which he farmed until the early 1980s. Upon retirement from farming…

CLOSTER, N.J. -- Kenneth L. Guile, a resident of Closter, died Sunday, Jan. 24. He was 75.Guile retired from NVRHS as a custodian and also worked for Rinaldi Transportation. He was a member of the Closter Lions Club, Closter Elks Club and proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee.

John I. Lashway, 85, Of Rhinebeck
RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- John I. Lashway, a resident of Rhinebeck, died Monday, Jan. 25. He was 85.Lashway was employed by Green Haven Correctional Facility in Stormville, N.Y., as a correction officer, retiring in 1986 after 26 years of service. In his younger years he was a deputy sheriff in Schoharie County.
He is survived by his wife: Janet I.(Bissett) Lashway ; son and Daughter In-law, Tod And Sally Lashway of Scottsdale, Ariz.; daughter and son In-law, Adrienne And Ben Burruby of Salt Point, N.Y.; and six grandcjildren.

Gene Ciaralli, 84, Of Hasbrouck Heights
HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Gene Ciaralli, a resident of Hasbrouck Heights, died Sunday, Jan. 24. He was 84.He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business and received a master’s degree in business administration from Columbia University. Ciaralli was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was a member of the confraternity of St. Francis and was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Lodi.
He is survived by his sister, Eleanor of Hasbrouck Heights, and brother, Joseph and his wife, Mildred of Paramus.
