Rose Festa Izzo, 83, Of Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- Rose Festa Izzo, a resident of Norwalk, died Thursday, Jan. 28. She was 83.Izzo had been a secretary with the former Merchants Bank. She was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish. She volunteered at the church’s Second Chance Thrift Shop and was a member of the parish choir. She also sang in St. Joseph’s choir before joining St. Thomas Parish. Ridgewood Kindergarten Registration Is Next Week RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Ridgewood Elementary schools will host kindergarten registration for the fall Feb. 2.The registration takes place at the elementary schools from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and continue through Feb. 4. He was 87.He was born in New Rochelle on Oct. 14, 1928, to Walter Halsey and Lola (Robinson) Young. He grew up in New Rochelle, and then received his bachelor's degree from Williams College in Massachusetts.  Upon graduating from college he began farming in Aquebogue, Long Island on a farm that had been in the Young family since the early 1650s.
