MAHWAH, N.J. -- John Robert O'Connor, a resident of Mahwah, died Saturday, Jan. 23. He was 85.O'Connor was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked his entire career in corporate insurance, mostly with Liberty Mutual and finally at Marsh & McLennan as managing director.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Theresa (DiPierro) O’Connor; his children, Sharon Fairless (Jim), Maura Mann (Mel), Michael O’Connor (Dina), Lisa Mann (Billy), Beth DeSomma; 13 grandchildren, Frank, Melissa, Theresa, Robin, Michaela, John, Peyton, Bryant, Rob, Lauren, Dakota, Ryan and Joseph; and a sister, Maryann McGerity.…

ORADELL, N.J. -- Phyllis Marie, a resident of Oradell, died Saturday, Jan. 23.She was 80.Marie was a graduate of Good Council Elementary and High School of Newark and Saint Michael’s Hospital School of Nursing, which ultimately led to 25 years at Englewood Hospital as an endoscopy nurse. She served as president of New Jersey Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates.

HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. -- Lea Cavalea Wallace, a resident of Hopewell Junction, died Friday, Jan. 22. She was 86.
Wallace was employed as a technician at United Hospital in Port Chester and then by the Wappingers Central School District at Fishkill Plains Elementary School. She was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill. She had been a professional dancer and was an artist.
