Wrong-Way Driver Kills Woman, 25, In Littleton Head-On Crash A driver going the wrong way on a Middlesex County highway led to a head-on collision earlier this week that claimed the life of a 25-year-old Somerville woman will face charges in the fatal crash, police said.  The head-on crash happened just before 12:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, on Route 2 in Littleton. More Rabid Raccoons Found In Boston A fifth raccoon has tested positive in Boston for rabies, Boston Animal Care and Control announced on Facebook Friday, Aug. 18.  This one was found near Hillside Avenue in Mission Hill. Three others were found in Jamaica Plain, and another was picked up in Roslindale.  Rabies is transmitted through scratches and bites from infected animals. Update: Police Suspend Search For Missing Kayaker In Central Mass Update: Police and rescue crews have called off the search for a man they feared missing in a Worcester County reservoir on Friday, Aug. 18.  A man was seen fishing from a kayak Thursday morning, but the kayak was found capsized hours later without the angler.  A new surveillance video uncovered Friday shows the man launching the kayak at the Whitins Reservoir in Douglas Thursday morning. In fact, Springfield police caught him in under 15 minutes hiding in someone's garage less than a quarter mile away.
