Mahwah Township Council Joins 'Access For All' MAHWAH, N.J. -- The Township of Mahwah unanimously voted to have an ordinance drafted to create an "Access for All" committee on Feb. 25, according to NorthJersey.com. The committee would work to improve access to public buildings, public services and education, NorthJersey.com reported. Bergen County Community Chest Looks Towards The Future BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. -- Members of Bergen County's Community Chest held a retreat at Englewood Hospital to discuss the future of the organization on Saturday, Feb 27. Little Ferry Super Pac Mystery Explained LITTLE FERRY, N.J. -- Officials have discovered that the Super PAC that influenced the Little Ferry mayoral race was funded by a local real estate tycoon, according to Politico New Jersey. Donald Nuckel, whose family owns more than 1,000 apartments in the borough, funded Focus on Families. The PAC attacked Mayor Mauro Raguseo by mailing fliers and making automated phone calls, Politico New Jersey reported. Cliffside Park Animal Shelter Joins ResQwalk Mobile App CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. -- The Bergen County Protect and Rescue Foundation is now participating in the ResQwalk Mobile Application aimed at funding animal rescues and shelters. The ResQWalk app enables animal lovers to raise money for animal rescues and earn rewards every time they go for a walk. Each week, ResQwalk announces a donation pool and, in order for a rescue to receive donations from the pool, its supporters simply need to check-in to the app when they go for a walk. In 1947, Dalton Trumbo was Hollywood's top screenwriter, until he and other artists were jailed and blacklisted for their political beliefs.
