Mets Relief Pitcher Gets First-Ever Lifetime Ban From MLB New York Mets relief pitcher Jenrry Mejia received the first-ever lifetime ban for performance enhancing drug use by Major League Baseball on Friday, according to ESPN. Mejia, 26, received the ban for testing positive for a banned substance for the third time. Carlstadt Receives $85,724 Recycling Grant CARLSTADT, N.J. -- The Borough of Carlstadt received a $85,724 grant from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection in recognition of the Borough’s recycling program in 2015. The grant was awarded because the borough collected more than 1,100 tons of recyclable waste.
