Icy Conditions Cause Accidents, Travel Delays In Fairfield County FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Slippery road conditions have caused accidents and travel delays throughout Fairfield County on Tuesday morning, according to CT Post.  Accident-related delays were reported on the Merritt Parkway and  the Route 8 and Route 25 junction in Bridgeport. FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield authorities shot and killed a local father after an apparent violent domestic incident on Mountain Laurel Rd. on Tuesday morning, according to CT Post.  Four victims were hospitalized with stabbing and blunt force injuries stemming from the incident, including three children ages 12, 13 and 15.
