Bloomingdale Mayor Touts Accomplishments In State Of The Borough Address BLOOMGINDALE, N.J. -- Mayor Jon Dunleavy outlined Bloomingdale's 2015 accomplishments while looking forward to 2016 during his State of the Borough Address on Wednesday, Jan. 27. Dunleavy highlighted infrastructure improvements, including the paving of 60 percent of the borough's roads and the acquisition of zero interest loans to improve an aging water and sewer system.  Dunleavy also made note of cost reducing measures like entering into shared services agreements that saved the borough $500,000. Franklin Lakes Recycling Options Expanded To Clothing FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. -- The Borough of Franklin Lakes is now offering textile recycling at the Department of Public works recycling center. Residents can place old clothes, shoes, sheets, towels in any condition from nearly new to old and damaged in the bins.  The Borough will receive payment, currently $100 per ton from Planet Aid for the textiles, potentially generating annual revenues of $20,000.  Planet Aid will provide receipts for the clothing you place in the bins.
