Ramsey Recreation Center Offers New Activities RAMSEY, N.J. -- The Ramsey Recreation Center is offering a new slate of activities starting this February.  Bowling starts on Friday, Feb. 12, at Holiday Bowl in Oakland.  Snow tubing is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 24, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Campgaw.  A Volleyball clinic for girls in grades four through eight begins on Friday, April 1. Flyers for all recreation activities are available on the borough website, www.ramseynj.com.

Wayne Staff Teach Students About 'Makerspace' WAYNE, N.J. -- Students at Schuyler-Colfax Middle School in Wayne got a lesson on the concept of "MakerSpace" recently.The format of the lesson included opportunities for hands­-on learning and working together in groups. Students, through the use of diagrams and inquiry learned the seven most important internal parts of a desktop computer as well as the names of the ports and their functions. Students were charged with naming the parts with post-­its within a time frame and figuring out how to create a new case for the computers completely out of Legos.

Stamford Man Charged With Swinging Metal Rod At Police Officer STAMFORD, Conn. -- A Stamford man is facing shoplifting and assault charges after attempting to fight off a police officer with a metal rod at Target on Friday, according to the Stamford Advocate. Authorities were called to Target at approximately 10 p.m. on reports of a shoplifter. Three Arrested In Stamford Following Chase On I-95 STAMFORD, Conn. -- Three South Carolina men were arrested in Stamford following a high-speed chase with narcotics and organized crime officers on Interstate 95 on Saturday, according to the Stamford Advocate.  The incident began when officers attempted to pull over a vehicle with out of state plates. The vehicle sped off once authorities exited their vehicle and got onto I-95.
