Franklin Lakes Changes Phone Number For Easier Access FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. -- Franklin Lakes Borough Hall changed its phone number so it is easier for residents to remember. The new number, 201-891-4000 was donated by resident Joe Conklin. The old number will still be in operation, but will be phased out over time. The new number is now in service.

Carlstadt's Jinpan Acquired By British Virgin Islands Based Firm CARLSTADT, N.J., -- Carlsdadt's Jinpan International Limited a designer, manufacturer, and distributor of cast resin transformers will merge with FNOF E&M Investment Limited and Silkwings Limited of the British Virgin Islands.When the merger is completed, each of the Company's common shares issued and outstanding will be sold for $6 each. The merger, if approved is expected to close in the first half of the year.

Lodi University Expands Nursing School Options LODI, N.J. -- The presidents of Felician University in Lodi and Middlesex Community College (MCC) recently signed a dual admission agreement that will make it possible for MCC nursing graduates to earn their bachelor’s degree in nursing onsite at the community college. Lyndhurst School Board Worried About Overcrowding LYNDHURST, N.J. -- Lyndhurst school officials are worried about overcrowding as higher than expected enrollment numbers continue to roll in, according to NorthJersey.com. West Milford Students Win Art Awards WEST MILFORD, N.J. -- Several West Milford High School students were honored at the Wallkill Valley Invitational Art Show recently. Phoebe Smith was offered a $10,000 per year scholarship from Monserrat College of Art for her work, "Orange Self." Faith Callamari earned 2nd place honors for her photograph "No More" and Allison Koch took a 2nd Place ribbon as well for her Sculpture "In Bloom."
