Happy Birthday To Englewood's Caitlin Sanchez ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- Happy birthday to actress and Englewood Native Caitlin Sanchez! Sanchez, who is best known as the voice of "Dora the Explorer" on Nickelodeon, turns 19 on Sunday. Sanchez began playing the piano at age four, and while at the Yamaha Music Center, won the Yamaha Corporation's Young Composer's Award in 2004 for an original jazz composition. She has also won the Tito Puente Musical Scholarship Award twice. In 2008, Sanchez took over the voice-acting duties for Dora. She has also appeared in episodes of "Law and Order: SVU" and "Lipstick Jungle."…

Police Raid On Rockland Apartment Linked To Murder Of Former HS Athlete SPRING VALLEY N.Y. -- New York State Police conducted a raid on a Spring Valley appartment in an effort to track down the person who stabbed and killed Orange County firefighter Justin Speights at a party, according to lohud.com. Police searched the multi-unit home owned by Trustee Vilair Fonvil's family on Prospect Street after it was reported that several Spring Valley men attended the New Year's Eve party that Speights was killed at, lohud.com reported. Hospital for Special Surgery Plans For White Plains Outpatient Center WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Hospital for Special Surgery is planning to open an outpatient clinic in White Plains, according to lohud.com. The Manhattan-based group will open the 50,000 square foot facility at 1133 Westchester Ave., lohud.com reported. Police Asks Public's Help In Search For Wanted Rockland Man RAMAPO, N.J. -- Ramapo Police are seeking the public's assistance in finding a man wanted for driving while intoxicated. Roman L. Danishevskiy was charged in August 2015 after being detained by police in the village of Chestnut Ridge, police said. Danishevskiy stand 5-feet, 10-inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information regarding Danishevskiy's whereabouts is asked to call the Ramapo Police Department at 845-357-2400.

Indian Point Sues State Over Operations Certificate BUCHANAN N.Y. -- The company that owns the Indian Point nuclear facility in Buchanan filed a federal law suit against the state on Thursday over its refusal to grant the facility a certificate to continue operations, according to lohud.com. Secretary of State Cesar Perales rejected Entergy's request for a certificate over environmental concerns, and because of the two reactors proximity to fault lines, lohud.com reported. Palisades Park High School Offers SAT Prep Course PALISADES PARK, N.J. -- Palisades Park Jr./Sr. High School is offering a SAT Preparation Workshop from Jan. 19 through March 2. The focus of the workshop is to prepare for the March 5, SAT testing date, the school as well. The seven week program meets in the evenings twice a week. The program cost is $400 and includes an SAT workbook, however Palisades Park students who attend every session and complete homework will receive a $50 discount at the conclusion of the course.
