3 Teens Charged With Assault In Fight Related To Fatal Stabbing Of Fairfield Prep Athlete Three teenagers are facing assault charges for a fight police said is related to the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old in Fairfield County. A 16-year-old boy and two 17-year-old boys turned themselves in to police on Thursday, July 21, on arrest warrants related to an altercation on Saturday, May 14, the Shelton Police Department reported. Hudson Valley Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Children, Police Say A 31-year-old Hudson Valley resident was charged after investigators reported that he sexually assaulted children under the age of 13. Eric Vazquez, of Newburgh, was arrested on two counts of predatory sexual assault against a child and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to an announcement from New York State Police on Thursday, July 21. Hempstead Man Accused Of Burglary, Assaulting Woman In Front of 4-Year-Old A 36-year-old man was charged after police said he assaulted a woman in front of a child and burglarized a Long Island apartment. Shannon Daniels, of Hempstead, was arrested in New Cassel at about 9:10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, according to the Nassau County Police Department. Mastic Woman Seriously Injured After Blown Tire Leads To Crash On Sunrise Highway A 37-year-old Long Island woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on Sunrise Highway. Dutchess County resident Ronald Louis Vece Jr. of Poughquag, died at his home on Wednesday, July 13, according to his obituary. Gianna Malfetano was last seen going to a friend's house or the beach at about 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, according to the Milford Police Department. Alert Issued After Dead Shark Washes Up On NY Beach Authorities issued an alert to swimmers and boaters after a dead shark washed up on a Long Island beach. Police in Suffolk County responded to a report of a dead shark on the Ocean Beaches in Quogue between 80 and 90 Dune Road at about 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, according to the Quogue Village Police Department.
