Police Searching For Man Accused Of Stealing Vacuums, TVs In Suffolk County Police have asked the public for help locating a man accused of stealing merchandise worth about $1,615 from a Long Island store. The man stole vacuums and televisions from Walmart in Islandia at noon on Monday, Jan. 31, according to Suffolk County Crime Stoppers. The store is located at 850 Veterans Memorial Highway, authorities said. Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest. NY Officials Urge Caution As Storm Expected To Bring Snow, Freezing Rain New York state officials are urging residents to prepare as a winter storm is expected to bring snow and freezing rain to parts of the state. Woman Fatally Struck By SUV While Crossing Street In Nassau County A 60-year-old woman was fatally struck by an SUV while walking across a Long Island street. The crash happened in Massapequa at about 10:50 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3, according to the Nassau County Police Department. Police said the Wantagh woman was walking from the south to the north side of Sunrise Highway at Broadway when she was struck in the right lane by an eastbound Subaru SUV. CT Man Sentenced For Dark Web Fentanyl Distribution A Connecticut man was sentenced to more than a decade in prison for trafficking drugs on the dark web, leading to a fatal overdose, and firearm charges.
