Longtime Mayor On Long Island Dies A former longtime mayor of a Long Island village has died at the age of 86. Joseph "Tony" McNulty died on Sunday, Dec. 12, according to his obituary.  McNulty served as the mayor of the Suffolk County village of Brightwaters for 18 years. He was also the president of Hendrickson Fuels in Bay Shore. Alert Issued For Missing Nassau County Girl Police have asked the public for help locating a missing 15-year-old girl from Long Island. Dayana Nicole Barrera-Caceres was last seen leaving her home for school in Glen Cove at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15, and didn't return at the end of the day, according to the Nassau County Police Department. She was reported missing at 10:15 p.m. that day. Recall Issued For Popular Pepperoni Product Due To Possible Contamination A company recalled nearly 11,000 pounds of pepperoni products because they may have been contaminated with bacteria that can cause illness. Smithfield Packaged Meats Corp. has recalled about 10,990 pounds of ready-to-eat pepperoni products after routine product testing found they may be contaminated with Bacillus cereus, according to an announcement from the United States Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service on Tuesday, Dec. 14.
