Nassau County 22-Year-Old Found With Items Stolen From Vehicle, Police Say A 22-year-old Long Island man was arrested after police said he was found in possession of items stolen from a vehicle. Shawn Harvey, of Hempstead, was arrested in Mineola at 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 6, and charged with criminal possession of stolen property, according to the Nassau County Police Department. NCPD said a 31-year-old woman noticed items missing from her vehicle, which was parked on Pennsylvania Avenue. Police said the missing items included an iPhone and a pink Dior bag. New York's Northwell Health Nurse Choir Advances To America's Got Talent Finale A choir comprised of 18 frontline nurses from New York's largest health system has advanced to the America's Got Talent finale. The Northwell Health Nurse Choir earned the position in the finale after performing a rendition of Andy Grammer's "Don't Give Up On Me." Watch the performance here. Woman Sentenced After DWI Crash Killing Bicyclist In Suffolk County A 32-year-old woman was sentenced after a crash when she was driving while intoxicated in which a bicyclist was killed on Long Island. Lisa Rooney, of Montauk, was sentenced on Thursday, Sept. 9 to three to nine years in prison for the crash that killed 28-year-old John James Usma Quintero, Suffolk County District Attorney Tim Sini announced. Man, Woman Nabbed For Burglarizing School In Nassau County, Police Say Two people were arrested for allegedly burglarizing a school on Long Island. The Nassau County Police Department said officers responded to California Avenue Elementary School in Uniondale after an alarm was set off around 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8. Expect Delays: Taconic Parkway Stretch To Be Closed For Repairs Motorists on the Taconic State Parkway can expect some delays due to a roadway closure in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation said the roadway will be closed along the southbound lanes in Dutchess County between Exit 47 and Exit 45 in the town of Lagrangeville. The road will be closed for repairs beginning Thursday, Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. through about 6 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 10. The department said motorists should follow the posted detour utilizing Route 55 and Route 82.

Alert Issued For Man Wanted In Connection To Shooting In Fairfield County Police are asking the public for information about a 25-year-old man wanted for firing shots at two people in Fairfield County, striking a home. Police reported that the incident happened on Sunday, Aug. 22, on Masarik Avenue in Stratford.
